While FloydMayweather vs. ConorMcGregor was a success by most any metric, it did not break theall-time gate record.

The Aug. 26 superfight at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas garnereda total gross gate of $55,414,865.79, with 13,094 tickets sold and137 complimentary tickets. Multiple outlets confirmed the figuresWednesday following on initial report from Jed I. Goodman on Twitter .Mayweather defeated McGregor via technical knockout in the 10thround of a bout that attracted plenty of mainstream interestoutside the usual combat sports fanbase.

Those profits are far less than what was generated for Mayweather’sfight with Manny Pacquaio in May 2015. That contest, whichMayweather won via unanimous decision, produced $72,198,500 from16,219 ticket sales at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
